The first day of the tour starts with travelling from Delhi/Chandigarh to Shimla by cab or Volvo bus service. Check in at hotel after arrival in the evening. You can enjoy a relaxed outing at The Mall road and other spots in Shimla town. (See our Shimla package for more information on the main attractions in Shimla). Dinner and Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 2 (Shimla to Sarahan- 163 KMS)
Starting early from your hotel in Shimla, we drive towards Sarahan passing through Kufri and Narkanda, giving you a glimpse of the snowy peaks that will be your destination in the next few days. Travelling further you reach Rampur where you can visit Padam Palace, built in 1917 by Raja Padam Dev Singh. Climbing up from Rampur the road towards the higher mountains is difficult to drive on and often patchy, but our experienced cab drivers will ensure your safety and comfort so that you can enjoy the wonderful sights enroute. Upon reaching Sarahan which is known as the gateway to Kinnaur, you can visit the divine Bhima Kali Ji Temple, which is a magnificent timber temple with unique hill architecture and intricate wooden carvings. This sacred temple is immersed in legends and the amazing views of apple orchards and flower meadows on the way to the Bhima Kali Ji Temple make it a spiritually uplifting route for pilgrims and adventure seekers. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel on return.
Day 3 ( Sarahan to Kalpa- 107 KMS)
We hit the road again next morning after breakfast, travelling from Sarahan to Kalpa alongside rapids of the Satluj river. This part of the trip is where you start feeling really close to glacial mountains you first saw from Kufri and Narkanda. After a scenic drive you reach the serene Kalpa village which is cradled by the majestic Kinner Kailash peak an altitude of 6500 m. It is one of the most revered mountain peaks for Lord Shiva’s devotees and Buddhist alike. Thousands of people take the pilgrimage to this sacred mountain peak each year. You can also visit Roghi village to see traditionally built houses in kinnauri architecture style and the simple life of the villagers.
Day 4 ( Kalpa to Sangla- 40 KMS)
After breakfast head out from Kalpa to reach the beautiful Sangla village. Situated on the right bank of Baspa river, this region is also known as Baspa valley and is believed to be the most breathtaking and picture perfect valley in Kinnaur. After soaking in the views and culture of Sangla we head toward the charming Chitkul Village which can only be described as a treat for the senses. A visit to this village is also interesting because it is the last village of Himachal Pradesh before the border touching China. You can also take an excursion to nearby Kamroo fort which is one of the oldest forts in Himachal. Afterwards return to Sangla for overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5 (Sangla to Shimla-240 KMS)
After breakfast and Check out from your Hotel in Sangla, drive towards Shimla. If you are not too tired from the journey, you can take a stroll on the Mall Road and The Ridge to enjoy leisurely sightseeing and shopping in evening. Day 6 (Return from Shimla to Delhi-370 KMS or Shimla to Chandigarh-113 KMS)
Following breakfast at your hotel in Shimla we head off back to the plains. After reaching Delhi or Chandigarh in evening time drop off with happy memories at Airport or railway station as required.
